[Seoul Economic TV = Reporter Jeong Chang-shin] BestTech, an XR·AI-based creative convergence tech company, announced on the 17th that it received the Prime Minister’s Commendation in the Management Innovation category at the awards ceremony of the “2025 SME Technology and Management Innovation Expo (K-INNO SHOW 2025)” held on the 4th at the Woojeong Hall of Jeju Booyoung Hotel & Resort.
This awards ceremony was the “2025 Commendation Ceremony for Meritorious Contributors to SME Innovation,” a linked event to the “2025 APEC SME Ministerial Meeting” held at the Jeju International Convention Center. This year, it was held together with the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) SME Ministerial Meeting, which was held in Korea for the first time in 20 years. This government commendation is the “Meritorious Contributors to SME Innovation” award organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and in 2025 a total of 230 awards (by number of conferrals) were operated. The evaluation for the Management Innovation category was conducted by the Korea Association of Management Innovation for SMEs (MAINBIZ Association), which carried out a comprehensive review covering product, service, process, business model, digital, and ESG.
BestTech was highly evaluated for ▲ implementing a 3D learning/training environment that minimizes installation and device constraints through the web-based XR platform “EduSpace”; ▲ linking recommendation–practice–assessment in one flow based on cognitive and emotional data through the AI-based multiple-intelligence diagnosis “AI-MIT”; and ▲ converting high-difficulty tasks into safe and repeatable training through XR defense and industrial MRO simulations, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and on-site applicability. Seo Woo-seung, CEO of BestTech, said, “The Prime Minister’s Commendation is the government’s official confirmation of our digital management innovation capabilities,” adding, “We will advance the integration of EduSpace and AI-MIT to present the next-generation learning standard and provide solutions that raise customers’ operational performance across education, industry, and defense.” BestTech recorded sales of KRW 9.2 billion in the first half of 2025, an 86% year-on-year increase. Along with this, it has achieved results such as obtaining an A-grade “Inno-Biz” certification from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, becoming the first Korean company to receive the UNESCO-ICHEI IIOE Pioneer Award 2025 (Smart Classroom Operation Innovation), being selected for the Gangwon Defense Venture Center development cost support project, attracting investment at a KRW 40 billion valuation (Zero to One Partners · KOSME investment-conditional loan), and winning the SME Grand Prize at the “2025 Korea ESG Management Awards THE BEST ESG.”
Going forward, BestTech plans to focus on ▲ refining the AI-MIT algorithm and strengthening data linkage between EduSpace and AI-MIT; ▲ expanding and standardizing the XR lineup for defense MRO and safety training; and ▲ advancing data governance that reflects the principles of minimal collection, anonymization, and notice of use, in order to accelerate the spread of data-based XR learning systems domestically and internationally.
