First Korean company… winner in the “Smart Classroom Operations Innovation” category

Recognized for teaching and learning innovation with the USG Shared University XR smart classroom

BestTech, an XR·AI-based creative convergence tech company, announced on the 2nd that it has been selected as the winner in the “Smart Classroom Operations Innovation” category at the “IIOE Higher Education Digitalisation Pioneer Case Award 2025,” organized by UNESCO-ICHEI (International Centre for Higher Education Innovation) under UNESCO.

It is the first and only Korean company to receive the award. BestTech was recognized for the potential and scalability of practice innovation with the XR smart classroom built at USG (Shared University).

BestTech’s award-winning case (“Best Tech’s Large-Scale XR Smart Classroom Initiative at USG Shared University”) is centered on the standardization of field-oriented practice in the automobile, robotics, and advanced manufacturing sectors through a PC-based XR environment.

Learners can safely and repeatedly perform high-difficulty practice such as ▲ EV battery system disassembly and assembly ▲ robot arm path programming ▲ diagnosis of hydraulic and pneumatic circuit faults ▲ troubleshooting of automation panels, and it is evaluated as having simultaneously achieved increased learning immersion and practical skills along with mitigation of safety and cost risks.

This year, global companies and institutions such as Alibaba Cloud, Baidu PaddlePaddle & ERNIE, and Guangzhou Dazzleview were also named in this category, which is significant in that a Korean company’s case has been recognized for its technology and operational capabilities on the international stage.

BestTech CEO Seo Woo-seung said, “This award is an achievement that officially confirms the international competitiveness of the XR-based standardized model for field practice,” and added, “Based on the implementation and operation references validated at USG Shared University, we will expand beyond electric vehicles, robotics, and manufacturing to safety, MRO, and vocational and defense training, and further advance our data-driven personalized learning and training platform.”

In the process of building the smart classroom, BestTech ▲ strengthened practice accessibility and repeatability by implementing precise interaction with PC-based XR ▲ established constant practice standards within curricula such as EV, robotics, and manufacturing (hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical control) ▲ and presented a practice-innovation model that simultaneously achieves safety and cost reduction as well as capability improvement.

Meanwhile, BestTech recorded sales of KRW 9.2 billion in the first half of 2025, up 86% year-on-year. It is also expanding its business scope by consecutively securing technological strength, sustainability, and financial credibility through achievements such as an A-grade “Inno-Biz” certification from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, selection for development funding support by the Gangwon Defense Venture Center, investment attraction at a KRW 40 billion valuation (Zero to One Partners and KOSME investment-conditional loan), and the SME Grand Prize at the “2025 Korea ESG Management Awards THE BEST ESG.”

BestTech plans to push ahead in earnest with the domestic and international spread of an XR learning system in which personalized recommendation–practice–assessment are connected in educational institutions, the public sector, and defense training sites, with the integration of “EduSpace–AI MIT” at the core.
